We offer different appointment types depending on your symptoms.

  • If you believe you have ear wax → book a 20-minute appointment

  • If you are unsure whether it is ear wax or hearing → book a 40-minute assessment

  • If your main concern is hearing → book a hearing assessment

  • This appointment is suitable for patients who require a longer consultation, allowing time for thorough assessment and treatment where clinically appropriate.

    Based on your assessment, this appointment may involve:

    • Otoscopic ear examination

    • Microsuction ear wax removal if required

    • Pure tone audiometry and/or tympanometry where appropriate and time permits

    • Clinical advice and management

    If no ear wax is found, other possible causes of your symptoms will be assessed and a hearing assessment will be performed. In this case, the cost of the appointment will be the standard hearing assessment fee of $110.

    If ear wax removal treatment requires the full appointment time and a hearing assessment cannot be completed on the day, this can be arranged at a later appointment at no additional cost to ensure an accurate assessment.

  • This appointment is suitable for patients who believe they may have ear wax and require assessment and treatment where clinically appropriate.

    Based on your assessment, this appointment may involve:

    • Otoscopic ear examination

    • Microsuction ear wax removal if required

    If no ear wax is found, other possible causes of your symptoms will be assessed and a hearing assessment may be performed. In this case, the cost of the appointment will be the standard hearing assessment fee of $110.

    If no ear wax is found and a hearing assessment is not performed, the cost of the appointment will be 50% of the standard appointment fee.

  • For patients with hearing concerns. Suitable for adults and children aged 4 years and over.

    A full diagnostic audiological assessment to evaluate hearing and middle ear function.

    Based on your assessment, this appointment may involve:

    • Pure tone audiometry

    • Tympanometry

    • Speech testing (where appropriate)

    • Otoscopic ear examination

    Following assessment, you will be provided with clear results and unbiased advice regarding your hearing and any recommended next steps.

  • Custom-made earplugs fitted by an audiologist for hearing protection or keeping ears dry when swimming.

    Suitable for adults and children.

    Based on your assessment, this appointment may involve:

    • Otoscopic ear examination

    • Custom fitting of earplugs to your ears

    • Advice on use and care

    Custom earplugs are made on the day and are ready within the appointment time.

    They may be suitable for:

    • Swimming (including children with grommets or recurrent ear infections)

    • General noise protection (recreational environments)

    Each pair is custom fitted for comfort and can be reused over several years.
