Clear Ears Perth provides ear wax removal and hearing health care for people experiencing blocked ears, changes in hearing, or ongoing wax build-up.

Each appointment begins with an assessment of your ear health, allowing the clinician to determine an appropriate approach. We use microsuction and other techniques as suitable, with care tailored to your individual needs.

If ear wax is not identified as the cause of your symptoms, we can assess your hearing and middle ear function to provide a broader understanding of your ear and hearing health, and guide you on appropriate next steps.

With multiple locations and flexible appointment availability, we aim to make access to care straightforward and convenient.

  • Sam Mitchell - Clear Ears Perth Audiologist

    Sam Mitchell

    Sam has been working within health care for 15 years and has experience not only in ear wax removal but in adult and paediatric diagnostic audiology, hearing implants, adult hearing rehabilitation, custom earplug fitting, hearing aids and tinnitus counselling. Prior to completing his Master in Clinical Audiology from UWA, Sam worked as a Registered Nurse.

    Michelle obtained her Masters in Clinical Audiology from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines in 2007. In 2008, she moved to Australia where she has worked in audiology clinics, specializing in adult hearing rehabilitation, tinnitus counselling and ear wax removal.  She also has experience in paediatric and industrial audiology.

    Greta, a passionate audiologist, graduated from the University of Parma in 2016. She started in adult diagnostic audiology and expanded into adult hearing rehabilitation and custom earplug fitting. Moving to Perth, she specialized in pediatric diagnostics, with a focus on otitis media among the Aboriginal community. Her mission is to improve quality of lives through personalized care and better hearing health.

    Ellen Ffoulkes

    BSc., MClinAud.

    Ellen is passionate about patient centred care and has a wide range of experience in audiology including cochlear implant rehabilitation, paediatric audiology, hearing aids, diagnostic audiology and tinnitus counselling. Ellen graduated from UWA with a Masters in Clinical Audiology with Distinction in 2019, and is currently completing her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Notre Dame.

    Shashie Ranasinghe

    Shashie is a clinical audiologist who graduated from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, in 2013. She has worked with both public and private hearing healthcare providers in Sri Lanka and Australia for over 10 years, gaining extensive experience in paediatric and adult diagnostic audiology, cochlear implants, hearing aid rehabilitation, and tinnitus counselling. After moving to Perth, Shashie has focused her work on the early detection and management of otitis media among Aboriginal communities.

    Marli Wolfaardt

    Marli earned her Bachelor of Communication Pathology in Audiology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 2011. Since moving to Australia in 2017, she has worked in a variety of audiology clinics across Perth, specialising in adult diagnostic audiology, adult aural rehabilitation, tinnitus counselling, hearing assessments, and ear wax removal. She is dedicated to providing genuine, compassionate care and is committed to achieving the best outcomes for every patient she sees.

    Anna Kania

    Accredited member of Audiology Australia

    Anna has a background in education and has over 30 years experience as an audiologist, working in the areas of paediatric assessment and adult rehabilitation, and specializing for many years in auditory processing disorders in both children and adults.

    Anna also worked for a time as a research audiologist at the National Acoustic Laboratories in Sydney and contributed to published research papers.

    Anna is excited about her role at Clear Ears and looks forward to helping as many people as possible experience both the joy and relief of having clear ears!

  • Chloe Walkden-Smith - Audiologist

    Chloe Walkden-Smith

    BSc., MSc. Clinical Scientist (Audiology)

    Chloe is a clinical audiologist who graduated from Swansea University in 2017 with a degree in Audiology. They have worked across both adult and paediatric audiology, gaining experience within public and private healthcare systems.

    In 2022, Chloe was accepted onto the highly competitive NHS-funded Scientist Training Programme, a combined Master’s degree and clinical training programme, providing advanced specialist training within diagnostic audiology and hearing rehabilitation.

    Lydia is a Paediatric Audiologist at the Perth Children’s Hospital (formerly Princess Margaret Hospital) since 2007. She has extensive experience in paediatric diagnostic audiology and looking after children with complex developmental needs. 

    She is a proud Sandgroper who grew up in Perth and completed her Masters Degree in Audiology at UWA in 2003.
