An objective test used to assess middle ear function, which may assist in identifying features consistent with middle ear fluid (glue ear), Eustachian tube dysfunction, and whether grommets appear to be functioning as expected.

What’s Included in Our Hearing Assessments
Our hearing services are now available across all clinic locations - Attadale, Balcatta and Midland:
Pure-tone audiometry: Measures hearing levels across a range of frequencies
Bone conduction testing: Assists in distinguishing between different types of hearing loss
Tympanometry: Assesses middle ear function and eardrum movement
Video otoscopy: Allows visualisation of the ear canal and eardrum on-screen
Child-friendly testing approaches: Designed to help maintain attention and support participation during testing
Hearing test costs $110 and are available for patients aged 4 years and over. If ear wax removal is required at the same appointment, a combined service is available for $150. Follow-up appointments are offered at a reduced fee of 50%.
